Maybe there's something specific, a relationship, a loss, a pattern you keep repeating, and you've decided it's time to look at it properly. Maybe you're not entirely sure why things feel the way they do, but you know something needs to change. Whatever it is that's brought you here, I'm genuinely interested in your individual story.
I am Jane, a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist based on the west coast of Scotland, I love my work. I get to be part of my clients' journeys. I believe that's a privilege. My style is warm and open and whether we meet in person at my practice in Craobh Haven or online, I'll bring the same genuine curiosity to understanding who you are and what you need. Together we can work towards greater insight and a more fulfilling and creative life.

I've been working as a therapist for over ten years. My core training is in Transactional Analysis (TA), a relational approach to therapy that is grounded in the belief that each of us has the capacity to think, to make decisions, and to change.
I work with individuals, couples, and fellow professionals seeking clinical supervision. Some people come for a short period of focused work. Others stay for longer, deeper relational therapy. Both are valuable, and we'd work out together what makes most sense for you.
I'm registered with the UKCP, and a member of UKATA and ITAA.
For individuals navigating life's harder moments or wanting to understand themselves more deeply.
For partners who want to communicate better, reconnect, or work through a difficult transition together.
For counsellors, psychotherapists and trainees looking for thoughtful, TA-informed supervision.
Therapy is a place where you can say the things you don't normally say, explore the feelings you usually push down, and begin to understand why you feel and think the way you do.
What I bring is curiosity, honesty, and a genuine interest in helping you find your own way through. Most people find that over time, things that once felt stuck begin to shift.
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life transitions are among the most common. Others come because they sense that early experiences, difficult family dynamics, or childhood trauma are still shaping the way they live and relate today. I have a particular interest in relational trauma and in supporting people who are working through the long reach of the past into their present lives.
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes the quiet, persistent sense that things could be different is reason enough.
The first step is a free, no-obligation 30-minute phone call. It's a chance for you to ask any questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide together whether we'd be a good fit.
No pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation.
My practice is based at Craobh Haven on the west coast of Scotland, a quiet and confidential setting between Oban and Lochgilphead, accessible by car via the A816 with parking available at the practice.
I'm well placed for clients travelling from across Argyll, including Oban, Lochgilphead, Inveraray, Kilmartin, Kilmelford, Arduaine, Crinan, Tarbert, Cairnbaan, Dalmally and the surrounding areas.
For those further afield, online sessions via Zoom mean that distance is never a barrier to getting the support you need.
Payment is due at the time of your session. I accept bank transfer and cash. I retain a small number of lower-cost slots for those who would otherwise be unable to access therapy. If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I ask that you give me at least 24 hours' notice where possible. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate.
Thank you for taking the time to get in touch. It genuinely means a lot that you're here, and whatever has brought you to this point, I'm glad you've taken this step.
I'd love to hear from you. You can reach me by using the contact form. I'll get back to you promptly.
However you've found me, and wherever you're coming from, I'm glad you're here. Taking that first step towards understanding yourself better is something worth doing, and I'd be honoured to be part of that journey.
