I'm Jane, and in many ways I've always been in the relationship business. Long before I trained as a therapist, I spent years working closely with people, listening to their stories, earning their trust, and understanding that what people really need, more often than not, is to feel genuinely heard. That experience shaped me, and it eventually led me here.
I came to psychotherapy because I've always been curious about people. What shapes us, why we do what we do, and how the stories we carry from our past show up in our present lives. That curiosity has never left me, and after almost 15 years of working with clients, I still feel it every time we sit down together. I love this work. I get to be part of people's journeys, and I don't take that lightly.
My core training is in Transactional Analysis, a relational approach rooted in the belief that every one of us has the capacity to think, grow, and make new decisions about how we live. I work in an integrative way, drawing on that foundation alongside other approaches depending on what each person needs. Some clients come for short-term focused work. Others stay for longer, deeper relational therapy. I hold both with equal care.
My practice is at Craobh Haven on the west coast of Scotland, a quiet and private space between Oban and Lochgilphead. I also work online with clients across the UK and beyond. Wherever we meet, my style is warm, open, and genuinely interested in the uniqueness of your individual story. I believe each of us has the right to live a more satisfying, fulfilling and creative life. That belief sits at the heart of everything I do.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and attend regular training to keep my practice current and informed. I work under regular clinical supervision, and I abide by the UKATA, UKCP and ITAA codes of ethics in all of my work.
